ROTARY CHEESE GRATER The Zyliss Rotary Cheese Grater is designed for both commercial and consumer use. A high focus on ergonomics makes the product extremely comfortable to use. The pressure of the cheese on the drum is applied via the pivoting handle, which reduces the force required to get the job done. RIVA The Riva Shower System exemplifies how an everyday object can stand out like a Bentley in a parking lot full of minivans. A user-programmable shower system in an "international" chrome finish, the Riva consists of a wall mount showerhead, a hand shower, analog and digital temperature and flow controls, and wall-mounted body sprayers. Overflowing with clean lines, the Riva, widely used by high-end custom homebuilders, will turn everyone with the simple desire to "wash up" into a bon vivant.

BOW CHAIR CONCEPT As Argyle Design studied chairs and segmented the market though mapping and research, a unique arena was found in which to play: the "Gallery Chair." Chairs that primarily intrigue and engage you visually, yet function as well in unique ways. Consisting of a wide convex alloy frame with a taut sheet of stretchable translucent nylon, the Bow Chair yields to the body, allowing for a perfect fit of comfort, for the recliner in us all. Returning to a static shape when unoccupied, the Bow Chair adds curiosity and a modern touch to any space. This example of "seating art" takes the floating in space experience of a hammock, integrated into a provocative visual structure, which has been called as "the future of the chair." Elements of Psycho-Aesthetics abound in the Bow Chair: a piece of architecture that beckons our interaction, thereby creating a "fusion" of chair and body like no other.

OPTIGAMI The Optigami is a collapsible eyeglass and self-encasing system which, when folded, creates its own case, offering full protection for the lenses, and is easily carried and stored as a result of its ultra-slim profile. The name Optigami is derived from the combination of the prefix "Opti" (as in optical) and "origami," the Japanese art of folding paper into shapes such as animals or flowers. This project provided us with the opportunity to integrate eyeglasses with a case, which not only safely shields the lenses from scratches and dust, but whose elegant styling adds sophistication and exceptional flair to the ordinary act of utilizing reading glasses. By providing an integrated eyeglass and case system that is very low cost, practical, and distinctive, the user will feel chic when utilizing these unique glasses, all the while knowing that the lenses are fully protected from scratches when not in use.

ETHENTICATOR This piece of "touch identification technology" reads the user's fingerprint to verify identity for access into high-security environments - and eliminates the need to type in passwords. The touch point shadows one's finger for simple user finger placement. A cascading, inviting shape in black, deep metallic blue and eggshell, the design seems to anticipate and receive your touch. Crafted from ABS plastic and High Carbon semi-conductive Plastic in a 2-part injection molded form, with no visible exterior screws or fasteners, the "organic" appearance of the Ethenticator houses advanced biometric technology. The Ethenticator is the recipient of both the CES "Best Of Show" and "Innovation" awards and an "Appliance Manufacturer Excellence in Design" award. |
